Adina Koechlin

I am a narrative-driven knitwear designer exploring how clothing can embody emotional and personal transformation.

For me, fashion is a language of stories unfolded through texture and form—a way to give shape to memory, emotion, and identity. It reveals the invisible and shift of life such as growth, making the intangible tangible.

My work often begins with rupture—a moment of change or inner conflict that sparks reflection and growth. I focus on themes like identity, transition, and the tension between comfort and discomfort. Through my designs, I express the invisible shifts that shape us—the passage from youth to adulthood, the search for connection, and the complexity of self.

Knitwear is both my material and metaphor. Using texture, layering, and sculptural shapes, I create pieces that balance softness and structure, tradition and innovation, comfort and challenge. I draw on heritage techniques like cable knitting, reinterpreted through contemporary forms that invite emotional resonance.

I design for individuals seeking more than just clothing—those who want pieces that connect, provoke thought, and accompany their personal journeys.

Originally from Switzerland, my move to Amsterdam has deeply influenced my perspective—bringing together the quiet, reflective qualities of my roots with the dynamic, experimental spirit of my new home. This personal journey influences my work, giving each collection a meaningful and authentic connection.
